The OC-Series
Designed as a replacement element for most standard 4-7/8, 9-3/4" or 20" housings, the OC-Series is engineered to eliminate the contaminants that can cause undesirable taste and odors in potable water.
Omnipure has been successful with the OC-Series due to unique features and benefits inherent in these elements. First, all OC cartridges feature a patented spring-loading device that compresses the carbon into a compact block, and maintains it under ideal pressure. This process eliminates channeling and provides an equal distance linear flow thus ensuring that the supply water is thoroughly filtered. Second, the OC-Series are manufactured without the use of glues or binders that can cause contamination. All high-impact polypropylene components are ultrasonically welded together, resulting in a reliable, uncontaminated cartridge body.
Lastly, Omnipure offers these cartridges with either T-28, 20x50 mesh granular activated carbon media or T33, 12x40 mesh acid-washed granular activated carbon media. Activated carbon is widely recognized as an effective filtration media for the elimination of contaminants that can cause unwanted tastes and odors in drinking water.
