The K-Series

Superior filtration and ease of installation combine to make this series of filters the most popular product in our line.
The success of the K-Series filter is directly attributable to the innovative Quick-Connect fittings that are incorporated into the design.
These filters are unique in two ways. First, they allow for the installation of the inline filter in a matter of seconds. Inlet and outlet tubes are simply snapped into place and secured using a patented collet system. Second, the fittings are molded directly into the filter body and as s single unit. This reduces the chance for weeping or seepage. Cap and body are spin-welded together producing a smooth, consistent seal without the use of glues or binders that can cause contamination. The result of these design and production techniques is a reliable filter that is fast and easy to install.
Since introducing the K-Series filter in 1993, it has found tremendous success in all phases of inline filtration. Perhaps the greatest demand for this product has come from system manufacturers. The benifit is derived from the fitting being molded directly into the filter cap, greatly reducing clearance. Shown here (right) is a system for the traditional 12" by 2.5" filter configuration. Notice that all the filters are uniformly attached. This results in the most efficient use of available space and greater filtering performance in a smaller overall area.
The K-Series filter is available in 6", 8", 10" or 12" lengths manufactured in 2" or 2.5" diameters. The true benefit is that systems can be designed to incorporate the various lengths and diameters - either all the same or intermixed - to meet specific filtration needs.

Every Omnipure Filter undergoes rigorous testing and independent verification for performance. Each filter is rated at .5 gpm with a maximum pressure 125 psi and a maximum temperature of 100°F.

Quick-Connect Fittings and Codes

All Quick-Connect fittings are 1/4". Fitting code letters appear in the upper left of each box. When ordering, indicate the filter model number, the inlet fitting code and the outlet fitting code in that order.

Test Information: The K-Series filter housing and fittings have been tested for performance by the Water Quality Association under NSF Standard 42. Tests included Hydro Static Testing at 300 psig andCycle Testing of 100,000 repetitions from 0 to 150 psig. Complete test results are available from OMNIPURE.
Omnipure products have been tested and listed under Standard 42 for taste, odor and chlorine reduction; or particulate reduction; or have been materials certified. All filters should be installed on cold water lines only. NOTE: Activated carbon filters are not intended to be used where the water is microbiologically unsafe or with water of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the unit.
